Pet Friendly Accommodation on the Atherton Tablelands

Rebecca Hearn, Brad Hansell and Smudge

Rebeccca, Brad and Smudge did not have to venture far from home to have a relaxing time out.  Living on the tablelands and working hard and long hours plus having a pooch it can often be hard to get away for a break.  Not so for this lucky threesome.  They discoved Chilverton Cottages & Fine Dining.

Check in and then there is nothing else for you to worry about.  Stroll around the grounds with your pooch, head up to the games room for an afternoon beverage and game of pool, just relax on your balcony and watch the river go by or head for the day spa to enjoy some of the treatments available.  As the sun starts to set relax on the restaurant deck with your mate and enjoy the taste sensations of the Chilverton Restaurant.

All of this only an hour and a half out of Cairns, half hour from Atherton and about 40mins out of Mareeba.  We look forward to seeing more Tableland locals enjoying this wonderful property.

Workshops on the Tablelands

Reiki Group

What a great way to spend a week end.  Wonderful people, great energy and an excellent teacher.

This is what was captured when Wendy Everette spent the week-end teaching a Reiki Level One workshop at Chilverton Cottages & Fine Dining.

There was a special energy to the whole property.  Each and everyone present feeling the love and healing that was being captured in his or her hands.

Even other guests on the property at the time commented that they could feel the harmony and contentment.

An enlightening experience for all of those involved.  Although it was a bit chilly, the drizzle  held off for the attunements that were held on the banks of the river.  With the sun beaming through the trees and the breeze whispering wonderful tones and tunes it was an uplifting experience to say the least.

Let all be at peace with themselves and with the world.  We look forward to seeing you all again to spread your wonderful energy to our very fortunate property.

Accommodation near Ravenshoe

Ann and Alan Pickering

Ann and Alan opted to stay with us for an evening when Alan had to attend a meeting in the district early the following morning.

Taking the time for a lazy breakfast on the front deck with the birds outside of the restaurant they enjoyed the time that was so short.

Alan being an old hand at bread making was able to give me some good information and a few priceless tips. I was also able to get a few tips from Ann about pate making.  Isn’t it great that the two go hand in hand.

Ann chose to stay for a very late checkout to make the most of the beautiful surroundings while Alan had to take care of business.
Relaxing in the cottage with a movie and a good book she had no trouble passing the time away while he was gone.  It was a shame that he did not get to enjoy the surroundings for as long.

We hope that you can make the escape again from the coast and come enjoy the place soon.

Pet Friendly Accommodation on the Tablelands

Jim Klein, Mary Klein and Katie the boxer

Jim, Mary and Katie took the beautiful drive through the tablelands to eventually end up at Chilverton Cottages & Fine Dining.   They chose to book here as we are a very pet friendly accommodation and welcomed Katie to join them for their get away.

The nights can be chilly up here when you live on the coast so a wood fire is a must for snuggling up with a movie on the couch.

Enjoying dinner in the restaurant over a bottle of red was a good way to spend the evening before heading back to the cottage to enjoy the rest of their time out.

We look forward to seeing you all again and hope that katie is doing well.

Atherton Tablelands Accommodation

Claus adn Marina Beimling

All the way from the other side of the world Claus and Marina have been travelling and relaxing around Australia for the past couple of months.  Wanting to really get away from the crowds and all other tourists they checked into a cottage on the river and made this there home for the next week.  As they had been to the area before they decided that all they wished for was here on the property so only ventured out once for a quick look.

Relaxing with a bottle of wine in the evenings they were amused by the playful possums that came out to visit.  Enticed by the wonderful array of birds that choose to pop in to see them throughout the day and totally amazed with the wildlife that lives in the river below their cottage with the like of platypus, waterdragons, turtles and fish.  We look forward to seeing you again when you get back to Oz.
